At MozLink we specialize in cross border transportation solutions between South Africa and Mozambique, but we also do local transportation in Mozambique and South Africa.
Our fleet of vehicles can handle loads from 1 ton up to 34 tones. We mainly focus on the route between JHB and Southern Mozambique, but will gladly quote from and to any other destination in Mozambique as well.
We partner with only the best Clearing Agents, in order to provide our valued customer a smooth problem free border crossing experience.
If needs be, we handle all the clearing issues on our client’s behalf, but if the client prefer to use his own Clearing Team, he is welcome to do so.
TRANSPORT DIVISION
Border Clearing Procedure (Export).
For (Export from SA) Clearing purposes you will need:
- A Clearing agent on SA side.
- A Clearing agent on Mozambique side.
- An Invoice from your supplier in South Africa.
- SADC certificate. (If applicable)
- Letter of origin. (If applicable)
- All border crossing fees are EXCLUDED in our transport quotations.These costs will be payable directly to the relevant Clearing Agents. We can however assist in handling these payments on your behalf.
SA Side:
Clearing on the SA side will cost you between R1000 to R2500 per bill of entry, depending on the amount of lines on the Invoice (or SADC). Every different supplier means a different Bill of Entry.
Mozambique Side:
The clearing cost will be approximately 11000 to 25000Mzn per Bill of Entry, depending on the quantity of lines on the invoice and the size of the truck. This excludes the Duties and the IVA (17%) payable on the value of the goods imported, but INCLUDES Kudumba, Parking and Mcnet fees. The amount due, will be calculated by the Mozambique clearing agent, based on the Import Duty % per different item. (Import Duties differ from item to item) This amount has to be paid in full before the truck departs from KM4.
Please take note that for Imports of more than R60000.00, you will need a “Termo de Comprimisso” from your Moz Bank. This is a document to acknowledge that the payment for the goods has paid from your Moz bank.
Clearing at KM4 takes 1 day to be finalized. More than 1 day at the border can result into penalty fees as well as Standing Time fees.
We prefer to receive and capture all relevant clearing documentation BEFORE THE TRUCK ARRIVES at the border. This ensures a smooth border crossing.
